Photoentry features and tips
Photo entry gives you individual control of your entry
The image file itself should not be be titled. Photo entry will ask you to insert a title as you enter
Naming a file at all will cause extra admin to adjust the naming
No opening date for the competition, competitions will be listed for the year and you can enter at any time
Alter and replace your entry any time up to the closing date
Projectors use the sRGB colour profile. Other colour profiles may not project your image how you intended so Photoentry warns you if your image is incorrect.
Preparing your image for Photoentry
CFPC use a sizing of 1600 x 1200 pixels at a ratio of 4:3. Not all images will comply with this ratio and size but this does not matter.
If you are non-tech then please simply make sure your image is less than 10 meg and Photoentry sorts out the resizing for you

If you want a little more control over your image and its quality then these are the lightroom settings recommended by Photoentry for exporting a correctly sized image. If your image is not 4:3 ratio then you won’t get an image 1600 x 1200 but don’t worry about this.
The sample image below resized to 857 x 1200 pixels using the settings above, which is an acceptable size for photoentry
You may note that it is placed on a 1600 x 1200 background with a stroke added. This is a suggestion, not a requirement. Some members like to place on a sized background for overall control. It’s also a plug for the webmaster as this size is more pleasing in the galleries
