Vaisakhi Celebrations with the Shri Guru Ravidass Gurdwara

Vaisakhi is one of the most important dates in the Sikh calendar

We have been invited to the Shri Guru temple again, but worth a walk up and down the Foleshill Road as all the temples are involved. Pete Wrighton is liaising with the temple and members , but just turn up and you will be welcomed. It is hard to say when it starts as the carnival arrives when it arrives. Last year it arrived at 1.00pm. Recommended to arrive a couple of hours beforehand to enjoy photographing inside the temple and other street scenes,

Vaisakhi is a spring festival which happens on the 13 or 14 April every year.

It is a day to celebrate 1699 – the year when Sikhism was born as a collective faith.
